Color of the Year: Classic Blue
Good morning ladies! It's the start of a fresh brand new year! Can you believe all of the possibilities this year has to offer? I can feel the new friendships, memories, and opportunities awaiting us in 2020 and it's left me with a feeling of pure giddiness! I'm still shocked to think about how quickly 2019 flew by last year, but alas here is 2020 and I'm welcoming it with open arms!
Do you know what else is exciting about the start of a new year? Pantone always releases its new color of the year, and this year I am obsessing over it: Classic Blue! You can bet we will be seeing this gorgeous shade all throughout the fashion community this year inspiring the top designers all over the world. It's only a matter of time now before we see this cool blue color start to bud through our favorite shops. What do you think about Pantone's color selection?
Once I saw the announcement of Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year, I instantly started digging through my closet and finding blues that I felt were similar. The announcement has always inspired an entire blog post where I searched the Filly Flair shop for pieces that featured this beautiful blue so that we can all be in the 2020 spirit! Check out these gorgeous blue pieces below and let me know what you think of this cool tone blue.
1. This blue plaid scarf right in line with the Classic Blue Pantone color choice. We are loving the large plaid print and fringed edges that give this piece great modern detailing. Pair this scarf with an oversized basic ivory or cream sweater and classic ripped blue jeans. This look will have you comfortable and cozy walking into 2020.
2. I was able to find two other great tops and a gorgeous marble beaded bracelet close to the cool tone of Classic Blue. I love the casual nature of the blue tank top while the lace detailing and long sleeves of the sweater can be worn now throughout this chillier season. Which of these three are you like the most?
3. Lastly, I found this great basic blue dress with BONUS POCKETS! Is there anything better than a dress with pockets? Seriously... I don't think there is. The printed sweater perfectly encapsulates 2020 with the color combo, large print, and tattered trim edge. Trendy, chic, and warm - there's no better combination honestly. To end it all, I also find this perfectly cool blue lace bralette that can be layered under deep v-neck and open back top or off-the-shoulder tops. It's a great color pop for a neutral low cut top.
